About Atomic Backland 107 skis 2024

The ski of choice for Atomic freeride athletes Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Nick McNutt, Atomic Backland 107 delivers multipurpose backcountry performance in a wide and lightweight package. At 107mm underfoot this is one of our widest freeride touring skis, but still super light thanks to a full-length Carbon Backbone and Ultra Power Woodcore. The Powder Rocker (wider in the tip and narrower in the tail) and revolutionary HRZN Tech in the tip deliver more surface area for maximum flotation in deep pow. Capable of charging through crud and chop with total confidence, Dura Cap Sidewall allows for smooth and stable handling on harder snow. Created for big mountain skiers dropping big lines in big terrain, Atomic Backland 107 offers next level performance for a next level skiing experience.

FEATURES

Powder Rocker
20% Tip Rocker / 70% Camber / 10% Tail Rocker

HRZN Tech Tip
HRZN Tech adds 10% more surface area at your ski tips. For awesome flotation in powder plus less tip deflection and better tracking through chop.

Ultra Light Woodcore
The combination of caruba and poplar wood makes this core ultra light, for skis that are all about low weight.

Carbon Backbone
An ultra-lightweight carbon insert that runs the length of the ski like a stabilizing backbone. This provides exceptional agility and edge hold with no extra weight.

Fiberglass
Continuous fiberglass layers create a ski that is smooth and stable while remaining lightweight and dynamic.

Full Sidewall
Runs across the full length of the ski for precise steering.

Atomic Base
High-density sintered bases that are fast in a variety of snow conditions and accept wax readily

Atomic Edges
Atomic edges are made from steel five times more wear resistant than standard steel, for strength and perfect grip.
