The Prodigy 1X mirrors the shape of the fan-favorite Prodigy 2X, including our award-winning Elliptical Sidecut Design and a Full Strength Sidewall for exceptional edge hold. In comparison to the Prodigy 2X, it's 10mm narrower underfoot for precise handling in the park and on-piste, and its poplar/ash wood core is ultra strong to withstand heavy landings. Anti-Chip Micro-Cap construction in the tip and tail plus XL 2.5mm Edges work together to ensure this ski stands up strong against the test of time.

FEATURES
Elliptical Sidecut
Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions.
Directional Twin
A considerably skinnier tail width than in the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness and freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch with ease.

Sustainable Poplar-Ash Wood Core
Poplar is a light-colored, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having great vibration absorption capabilities. Ash is a heavier hardwood, that complements Poplar by adding stiffness and durability. This duo provides excellent hold on hard snow, a solid base for stomping landings and enough pop and flex for creativity.
Microcap Full Strength Sidewall
Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping.
XL 2.5mm Edges
Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges stack an extra 25% of height on top of our already super-durable standard 2.0mm edges. This extra steel gives the rider a pair of skis that are going to take more abuse and last longer.

In an effort to reduce the impact of our supply chain, we strive to source materials from European companies that are based near our factories.
Recycled Materials
Working with our production partners to eliminate material waste, we now mix base, sidewall and topsheet material scraps back into the raw material used for production, reducing carbon emissions while ensuring the same level of quality & durability. By integrating recycled materials into our ski bases, we reduce the ecological impact of our bases by 75%.
